One can learn a lot from carrying a paintbrush in one hand and a bible in the other. Being both an art student and seminarian taught me that it’s better to be a student than a master. A ‘master’ of anything is not willing to try something new. A disciple’s heart is required to fan into flame the will. The will to experiment, explore, and venture forward.
